The complete number of Kyrgyzstan gambling dens is a fact in question. As data from this state, out in the very remote interior area of Central Asia, tends to be hard to receive, this may not be too surprising. Whether there are 2 or 3 accredited gambling dens is the item at issue, maybe not really the most all-important bit of info that we do not have.

What will be true, as it is of many of the ex-Soviet states, and certainly accurate of those in Asia, is that there will be many more not allowed and underground gambling halls. The change to acceptable gambling didn't empower all the underground locations to come out of the dark into the light. So, the contention over the total number of Kyrgyzstan's gambling halls is a tiny one at most: how many authorized gambling dens is the item we're attempting to reconcile here.

We are aware that in Bishkek, the capital city, there is the Casino Las Vegas (a spectacularly original title, don't you think?), which has both gaming tables and slot machines. We will also see both the Casino Bishkek and the Xanadu Casino. Each of these have 26 one armed bandits and 11 table games, split amidst roulette, 21, and poker. Given the amazing similarity in the square footage and floor plan of these two Kyrgyzstan gambling dens, it might be even more bizarre to see that both are at the same address. This appears most unlikely, so we can likely state that the number of Kyrgyzstan's gambling halls, at least the legal ones, ends at 2 casinos, one of them having altered their name a short time ago.

The country, in common with nearly all of the ex-Soviet Union, has experienced something of a rapid adjustment to capitalism. The Wild East, you may say, to allude to the lawless ways of the Wild West an aeon and a half back.

Kyrgyzstan's gambling dens are in reality worth checking out, therefore, as a piece of social analysis, to see dollars being wagered as a type of communal one-upmanship, the celebrated consumption that Thorstein Veblen wrote about in nineteeth century America.
